Editorial policy

We write every description and guide on this site ourselves, from the specification we publish for the piece. The name on a card is ours: hundred-character titles are written for a search box, not for a person choosing a bed.

We publish no star ratings and no customer reviews, because we have collected none. Borrowed numbers and invented quotes are worse than a blank space, so we leave the space blank.

Where a guide states a rule, it quotes the rule word for word and links to the document, with the date we read it. Where a fact belongs to the specification, it comes from the specification. Where we do not know, we write that we do not know.

Prices are updated on a schedule and the date of the last update is published on one page rather than repeated on every card.
